The Basement is no longer my enemy!!

For three years this basement has haunted me, and today it is finally done!!!!!!!!!! I just want to sing and dance and shout!!! The carpet has been laid today and the project is complete. I am happy, the girl will have somewhere to play all their own and I don't really care how dirty it is until I need to use it for a party. I am now hoping and praying that Ryan will be taking some time off now from home projects, however, I know that will last about 4 hours! Are you kidding me, he already has the fire pit project going on next.......someone please teach this kid how to sit down and drink a beer!! On a better note, today is my brothers 30th birthday, and so I called him and of course got voice mail, so I left a short message and then gave the phone to Grace. I told her to sing "Happy Birthday" well she sang something, I just have no idea what the words were or the melody, but I did eventually here the words 'Happy Birthday'. Ohhhhh I can't wait for tomorrow!!

Rain Rain

Well today was a bummer, it rained and rained and then it rained cats, dogs, pigs and frogs!! So we had a fun day inside. We checked on Grace's tomato plants, that she got at Lowes and made the planter box with daddy. Then we played some baseball inside the house, probably not my best idea, but it was all I had....I keep forgetting to make edible play dough. Then daddy came home from work, and I usually get ignored at that point. But we kept the fun going with jumping on the couch cushions (while they are on the floor of course!!). I was bummed about my first softball practice getting canceled, but I still am not feeling all that well anyway, so maybe it was a good idea for me :)

Bubbles not Snot!

Well this morning Grace and Daddy attended another Lowes "build and grow" clinic. It is a free thing Lowes does twice a month with parent and child to learn to build really cute small projects. Today was a bird feeder :) Then Grace attempted to help daddy outside with fixing the fire pit she loves doing hard labor, weird but wonderfully helpful! Jenn had a rough day again with the snot bubbles coming out of her nose, I think that might be her nickname....bubbles, not snot. We will see :) She seemed to be happier and yet today just fell asleep several times where ever she felt she could. Some day's I wish I could do that!!

As all of the three girls in this household have been sick for the past three days, daddy has been really taking care of us. So as a thank you we all made a trip to Lowes, I think daddy might live there if he could really!! We let Jenn out of the cart and she would walk around and fall and then get up and walk some more, she is a happy baby. Grace loves Lowes because daddy loves Lowes, which means that Grace loves anything that daddy loves :) Overall it was a good day, Jenn is still sick, I think she is teething majorly with drools and a nose like a faucet, I cant get it to stop running. Grace still has a runny nose, and a cough to go with it. I on the other hand have finally beaten the killer sinus headache for the better part of three days and am only left with a stuffy nose that is slightly runny. If you want more information on our sicknesses you might have a sickness of your own :)

This morning we woke and started to help daddy in the basement, we are almost finished and then hopefully life will be back to normal in the Henry house!!! We took naps and then Grandma came over to play and we went to the park. I attempted to take Grace's Three year pictures, but she never wants to pose for me anymore.....hmmmm I wonder if I make her take to many pictures? Jennifer loved the park, she was walking around the park today which she loved being able to do. As for me, I finally finished my book from the library "The Red Tent" it was a great book, and I think every woman should read that book!

YAAAAYYY!! Jennifer finally has a tooth popping out on her uppers, this is the excitement for my day :) Grandma and I went for a 4 mile walk this morning, it was sooo cold and for some reason I thought I was frosty the snowman and didn't really need a jacket, whatever. Then we ended the day at grandmas house for some trampoline fun, but even that was chilly and mommy and Jenn went inside the house for warmth.
Grace had fun yesterday with some of her friends and daddy at Lowes, making a mini planter box. She did a really good job of it until she got really tired and told Ryan to help finish it for her, that girl is strong but i guess she is not that strong!! :)

Well yesterday was beautiful and sunny, until we went outside and the wind was just so ferocious I thought our house was going to land on a witch!!! We ended up at a Siena Heights softball game, I play slow-pitch with a few of these girls, and it was a windy mess. I attempted to take a few photos, but with Jennifer still not feeling well and Grace making all kinds of new friends I really didn't get to many photos taken. Oh well, that is the life of a mom right??!! :) Wouldn't want it any other way!!!

We just celebrated Grace's third birthday!! I can NOT believe she is 3 years old and she will be in preschool in just a few short months. Jenn on the other hand is getting teeth in and it is a a painful house here that poor girl is just miserable. Lots of hugs and cuddle time is what she needs for sure!!!!

We took Grace to the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum for her birthday, SHE LOVED IT!!! I hope we are able to do that again, it was just as fun for Ryan and I as it was for the girls, they have great displays for the kids. The water and foam blocks were a huge hit with ours!!! :)

Jenn is 11 Months old today!

Today my Jenni is 11 months old!!! She is big and beautiful and smart and soooo funny. She is walking and no longer using a bottle, we are on big girl sippy cups!!! Wow, I can not believe that this first year is almost over, and I will no longer have a baby :( I can not wait to see what is in store with this one for the rest of my life!!!!

Today Jennifer discovered the telephone. I swear I did not pose this shot whatsoever! This was all Jenn and her own discoveries!!! Over all it was a good day, I am just counting down the days to the basement is done, it is just causing a lot of stress and unwanted junk all over the house. April 29th can not get here soon enough!!!!!

Today was a quiet day, it started with a trip to the Library.....we LOVE the library!!! Grace got two books; one about a cowgirl and one about a boy musician. Mommy got her a book to, and is super excited to read it!! Then naps, after naps we ran to Grandma Jacqui's house to visit and play, and play we did. Grace and Jenni had a GREAT time on the trampoline it was hilariously funny!!!!!!!! Can't wait for more summer fun :)

Yesterday, I was unable to post because I had a very special date out with the Hubby that was much needed!!! That just means that today I just add more pictures of the girls. Yesterday Grace got her nails painted, and her toes of course!!
Jenn continued on her journey through the house on two feet instead of two knees and two hands! Jenn is also off of the bottle, and on sippy cups now, its crazy how fast time fly's and I really am trying to soak it all in, but sometimes I need a break. Ohhhhh even bigger and better news, Grace was accepted to preschool for this September. Damn, talk about time flying on that one!!

Today we finally made it to the park. First, we went on a 2 mile walk then Grace got her new tricycle helmet and then we made it to the park, it was a GREAT day!!! The girls are pooped out and Mommy is totally whooped too!!! Looking forward to more walks and more days out at the park and of course Ice Cream :)

Ahhh the beautiful days ahead!! I put together the our double stroller that we bought for our bikes two years ago, it is a combo, bike carrier/double stroller. I cant wait to take the girls on longer walks through the trails maybe we will do that tomorrow?? We will see how their schedules work out for that :) Today was also my grandpas anniversary of his death 4 years ago, so we talked a lot about him through pictures and stories, I would like to think that if he were here, he would be very proud of me and my little family!!
