Relay For Life

G was one pooped out monkey!

Apparently we do not feed her!

J decided to play peek-a-boo with the table cloth!

J was dancing!!!

G and J with one of their favorite cousins!!

J, I swear the coffee cup was empty!!

Ryan and the girls walking for cancer, well J was strolling for cancer!

Every year my Hellebuyck family does Relay for Life in honor of my Grandpa, and to raise money and awareness for cancer. This was J's first year going, she was three weeks old last year so we skipped out, she really seemed to enjoy herself! G was just super excited about everything, but I think her favorite part was getting her finger nails painted, pink with glitter, she picked that of course! We never have stayed for more then 8 hours, the girls are just to little yet, but soon we will be maybe next year or the following year. It was a good time and I hope we helped raise awareness to just one person!!

Stinky fart goo

Jenn and the glodoole
This is her mean face
Drawing with chalk
THE goo, and Suzie in the back laughing her butt off!
Hey my kids have a mom!

More then a few days have past since I posted last, sorry about that, my life has been crazy this past week. My Hellebuyck family does Relay for Life ever year and my Grandma saw the brick people that I make and sell and asked me if I could make some for Relay. So I was super busy busting those out in a weeks time. On Wednesday, one of my dearest, greatest, friends came over to visit, who I have not seen in over a year. My girls loved her and she brought them some toys, and they are a HUGE hit in the house right now. The biggest being the "stinky fart goo" as Grace calls it, its has to be the funniest damn thing I have ever seen!! It is really called flarp and it is just putty in jar, that makes fart sounds when playing with it in the jar! Well tomorrow is Relay, lets hope we raise a ton of money to kick cancers butt!!!!!!!

Art project day

So on Sunday I had my first softball games of the summer with my co-ed team. The girls were taking a nap while I packed up for myself as well as for them to go down to the ball fields. It was time to go, I went into Grace's room to wake her up to leave and as she crawls up and out of her own bed, I see all black. Yes, that's right, black marker all over her legs, arms and feet. She had somehow gotten a hold of one of daddy's marker from work, sneaked it into her bed for her nap time, and then had an art project day on her own skin. It is still all over her, it is slightly faded now, but it is off of her tongue finally!

i heart faces - flowers

I am posting my FIRST ever picture for the i heart faces (www.iheartfaces.com) contest. This is my one year old daughter Jennifer, while trying to take her picture in a totally different pose, this one just happened by accident!! While I am just a mom, not a professional at all, I just enjoy taking pictures of my girls everyday :)

Amazing moments

MMmmm, Mommy's ravioli dinner!!
Yep, this is my future, I am certain of it!!
This is what I do in my "free" time
I think she stole the T.P.!!

With all of these damn pictures, I bet you are wondering if I really even play with my kids. Well, I do and I miss a ton of good pictures because all the good moments that happen when the camera is soooooo far away from me. Today, for example, the girls and I were in the the basement. The girls were playing peek-a-boo with each other, it was so amazing and cute, and the camera was upstairs of course!!! Jennifer fell asleep in my arms and I can never get a photo of that. My life seems to be full of amazing precious moments, and while I try to get them all on in a picture, most will end up being a memory that I hope will last forever. These girls are so precious to me, its going so fast, I just want to remember these times forever!!

So many steps

Grace's Feet

Jenn's feet

Today I made the realization that both of my girls are walking. Right, so then I thought about how much that have both walked already. OK, then I thought about all the steps in life they will take, some with me and most without. This then made me sad :( They will be big and gone and on their own before I even know what is going on. I wonder where they will go, when they will go, and the roads that will lead them down their travels. It is very exciting, and yet so very sad, but I am so ready for every adventure.

Dancing Babe

**Beware of volume, Mommy got a little to excited! Sorry** Jennifer has been dancing for some time now, but as of a few days ago she has started doing "the Elvis" as I like to call it! She bounces up and down and we like to call this dancing as it is only done with music of course. This new "Elvis" dance is done with a slight twist of only one leg. I hope you find it as amusing as I do :)

Candyland is NO fun!

This is Jenn after a nap, Mohawk city!!!
I remember Candyland being so much fun as a kid!! Well a kid I am no longer :( We played our first game of Candyland this evening, Grace, Daddy and I. Jenn was climbing on the couch while we played. I took the early lead on that candy coated game board, with daddy far behind and Grace in last. Then as quick as a gumdrop, that three year old kicked our butts and won that twisty colored game, we didn't even let her cheat. After our sorry butts got whooped, we went outside to till up the garden, and have a little fresh air. Damn it was cold out!!! Gotta love the Michigan weather!!!!

Doctor for your Birthday

Yesterday was Jennifer's first birthday and although most parents will celebrate the first year of the child, I choose to celebrate ME and how I survived the child's first year!! Well, the kid will never remember their first birthday, right??? Anyway, poor Jenn was still not feeling well, so I called the doctor and made her an appointment AGAIN for the second time in 3 weeks. Turns out she still has her ear infection, so they gave her new drugs to take and she is acting like a whole new girl.
In Jennifer's first year, I think that I have learned what having true patience really is, and that my heart is big enough to handle loving two beautiful girls at the same time!!! That used to be a big fear, while I was preggers with Jenni. It still amazes me how I manage to completely fall in love with these two girls more and more every single day!!!! :)

A day in the life

While we had to stay inside for the majority of the day, we did find our way outside later on in the afternoon. Emmy and Mike are in Texas for a few days packing up Mike's Mom's belongings, she is moving in with them : /, we stopped over to mow the lawn, check on the damn cat, and move out some of their own furniture into our house. While Jennifer was totally tired and cranky and wanted nothing to do with photos, Grace was loving it today. It totally figures they are like polar opposites right?? So with Jenn in one arm and my camera in another I decided to take her out and take photos of other things around us, the sky and flowers. Then for proof purposes, I took a photo of Ryan mowing my parents lawn while Grace jumped on the trampoline. Oh a day in the life of the Henry's, its sometimes crazy and sometimes insane :)

No middle days

Well today was fairly boring, I was going to have my second softball practice, but that was canceled due to the rain. The girls are still trying out all of their birthday games and toys. Jenn got two toy phones and still insists on using anything as her 'phone'. I totally can not believe she will be one year old in two days, damn that went fast!!!! Grace still is not liking taking photos for me, so I tend to have to get her in weird positions or not looking at the camera. So far, with her, this year has been the toughest. She will have good days and horrible days, I can't seem to find a middle day yet :) Maybe tomorrow!

Toys and turtles

So yesterday was the birthday party for the girls, Grace being 3 and Jenn 1 of course. Holy cow that was a loooooooonnnnngggggg day for me :) If you want to see those pics you will have to check out my facebook page and look there!! Today we played with all 900 new toys that we got yesterday. A huge hit was the princess table and chairs the girls got from Aunt Heather and Uncle Dave. As the day turned to afternoon, daddy was mowing the lawn and abruptly stopped to come in the house and inform us he needed help in saving a turtle down in the creek behind our house. It took him a good 20 minutes to get that sucker out of there, but he did it and Grace thought her dad was amazing for helping save a turtle!! Nap time came and went and then we went outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine with emmie (Grandma Jacqui). Grace learned to hit her t-ball and Jenn still hates to sit on the grass! Over all; another long and exhausting day, but we all had a blast!!!!

Vintage T-Shirt

Well I never thought that I would own something so long that it would ever become vintage, I can no longer say that!! I was getting ready to hang some stuff up in the basement and came across this t-shirt that Grace is wearing. It is a shirt that I used to wear when I was like 8 years old or something. Grace told me that she wanted to wear it, so I let her and ohhhhh did it make me remember!! It was my uncle Chucks racing team, which was actually my whole damn Hellebuyck family. It was so much fun going down to the track and see my uncle race, sometimes my Grandma Jean even raced. Its crazy that out of all my other cousins, only my brother and I can say we saw our Grandma race cars. Ohhh to be 8 years old again, it was so much fun :)
