Today Ryan had the day off, so we had a casual morning. I mowed the lawn, it only takes two hours to mow down 2 acres, not bad I guess. The girls took a nap, and then we decided to go for a bike ride, we stopped at a park (dumb idea, as Grace never wants to leave) to rest and let the girls out of the cage (also called a bike trailer). All in all we had a great day!!!!! Grace has requested that tomorrow we go to the library to get her some new books!! I love that she loves the library already :) By the way I hate that Jenn will no longer allow me to rock her to sleep......SAD!

Today was colder then we have been used to lately, but I will take it since its been like 90 recently! The girls and I usually will take a morning walk outside until I just can't take the heat any longer. Sometimes we swing, sometimes we slide, sometimes we draw with chalk on the sidewalk. (maybe next year we will get a driveway to draw on DADDY!!) Today we just relaxed in the house and then made a very very short adventure outside. We cleaned the recycling center in our laundry room, Grace was awesome putting all the plastic items in a bin for me!!! Jenn, she just kind of sat and watched and tried to help me putting all the cardboard away, I love child labor :)

Saturday night I became a Godmother to my Nephew, Cole. I was actually kind of emotional at church, because it had just hit me at that moment of the honor and role I will play in Cole's life. Its a big deal to be a Godparent!! The other Godmother was Cole's other aunt, Heathers sister, Nicole. Overall it was a good day, LONG, but good! The service was so late in the evening though that Cole was having none of it, poor kid was just tired, but what are you going to do right??

Cabela's

Ryan and I decided to take the girls to Cabela's today to see the giant animals and we knew the fish tank would be a HUGE hit!! Well, for the whole ride Grace thought that Cabela's was a real girl. I really don't know why, we told her over and over it was a store, but she just didn't understand. Jenn loved all the fish and all of the animals too, she was pointing to everything and I was showing her and telling her what everything was. Grace saw a Puma and right away ran to it and knew what it was, Ryan and I looked at each other, like "How did she know that". We finally came to the conclusion that she knew what it was from Diego, or the animal picture books that we have. I, of course, choose to think it was the books! Jenn is still not feeling well, hopefully her poopy pants will be feeling better ASAP!!

Grace has been dying to use my camera and take some photos, not that she knows the first thing about it, but I finally gave in and let her do it. She had it for about 15 minutes while we were waiting for our breakfast to be served this morning, per daddy!! She took about a zillion pictures, so I had to narrow down the five choice best, in my eyes, they are not even that bad for being 3 years old!!! She HAD to have the strap around her neck and she HAD to see every photo and analyze if it was good enough to keep in the memory. Ohh Lord she was just cracking me up and then she posed me with Jenn, that was funny too. Who knows maybe someday she will be an artist of some type, no matter what she does I hope I remember this day when I saw a little bit of what she does everyday!!!

Monday night we drove up to Detroit to take the girls to the fireworks. My dad has a condo right on the Detroit river, so he has a spectacular view!! We got to the condo nice and early as to not get into traffic and had dinner in the condo with my Dad and Daria and my Grandma Jean plus one of her church lady friends. We laughed at the girls, we had a great evening, then about 25 minutes to the fireworks Jenn fell asleep :( Oh, well maybe next year she will finally see them! We left right after the fireworks were done and got home at 12:30, not to bad for sitting in traffic for 20 minutes not even moving! Overall the girls had fun, we had fun, and I love a good firework show!!

We attended a graduation party on Saturday for two of my cousins. Its weird for me that they just graduated, I remember when they were born, and I got to hold them when they were babies. It also reminded me that my girls will be big and off in the world soon enough and that I should cherish them so little now. I made me realize that people sometimes might still see me as a little girl who ran around and played all the time, and now I am a mom of two of my own. Life is crazy, but it can be an amazing crazy or it can be boring and dull. Life really is what I choose to make of it and everyday when I wake up for the morning, I choose how my day will go! Super excited for the road ahead!!

Yesterday, was my Grandma Jeans 75th birthday, I made the decision to take the girls up to the pizza party that some of the family was having and have a good night! We had to leave our house early, as to not hit 5 o'clock traffic, we headed to David's store to be able to "hang out" before the pizza party. Here is where my day really begins!! Grace went to play on the tractors in the store, then she tells me she is "hiding" which really means she is pooping! Great, this will be fun, I thought. She then tells me that she is done and needs to be changed, so I tell her "great lets go to the bathroom". "No, mom I cant I am stuck". So I proceed to walk over to her and she sure is stuck, she got her middle finger stuck in a cup holder on a riding tractor, only my child Really!!!! My brother has to come over and cut the cup holder to get her finger out, luckily not hurting the tractor at all!! So we finally head over to the bathroom, take her shorts off and she has poop everywhere!!!! I clean her up and get her all changed and there is poop in her shorts, which of course I didn't bring her an extra pair. I leave my brothers store head over to Meijer, just across the street, and buy her new shorts. As we are walking out to the car to leave, my shoe breaks, detaching from the heel! Oh my live was on a role!!! All I could do was laugh about what just happened in the last 30 minutes, something I will totally remember forever!!!
At least we all had a good time at the Grandma's party and she was very happy to see us, and we were so happy to be there in one piece!!!!

Full Swing

While the summer time is busy for everyone, it seems our summers are getting busier and busier every year. Well, I certainly am not going to admit that I am just getting older and more tired every summer! The girls are in full swing of the summer as well, going out to play in the pool, writing on the sidewalk with chalk, and sliding down the slide on the swing set. I know more adventures are coming as the years go on, but I also know that soon enough, I will no longer be cool to play with anymore! For now, I take each day at it comes and really try to live in that day, and breath in when the frustration sets its ugly face within me. I sometimes can not believe that they are mine, all mine, some days I want to go fast and most I hope don't end to quickly. I am a lucky mommy!!

It has been a long time since I have done this blogging thing lately, so I thought I would shove a ton of stuff into one!! We spent Memorial weekend all over the place, just like we do every year. This year seemed to be a little bit better, yet it was way more exhausting than in the past, Hmmmm I wonder why?? :) Sunday, we went over to my dads house for the Hellebuyck Hockey Hoe Down, just to find out that this was the last hockey game to be played :( We went home after that, got cooled down and then I (alone) went to a friends party, when I got there pretty much everyone was already drunk, good times!!! I love my friends, if nothing else it was great to see everyone and I had a great time laughing!! Monday we woke up, had a red, white, and blue breakfast (vanilla yogurt with blueberries and strawberries) and then headed up the road to Tecumseh's Memorial day parade. The parade was great and it made me overly emotional, the sacrifice these men and women make for my freedoms was just overwhelming to me. After that we headed over to the Henry's for a rain soaked bbq, and then home for naps. I am great-full for a wonderful family and good weekends together!
