Grace Vs. The Potty

We seem to have an ongoing battle with Grace and the potty, well at least as far as the poop is involved! She is terrified of her poop, like I mean screaming and crying terrified of the her poop. While I was gone on vacation in July, Ryan had gotten her to poop on the potty a good three times, I thought we were in the good and had it down to a science! Well, how truly wrong I was after all. I got home from camping and she pooped one time on the potty after that and never again, it has always been in the pull-ups.
Today I was going to fight the good battle and I was armed for the war on poop!!! I knew she had to go, so we stayed in the bathroom for a good hour, she needed a break, as did I so we decided to take pictures of our adventures. Well, after a good 3 hours on and off the potty she finally went poop ALONE in the bathroom. I finally figured it out that if I didn't giver her the option of having her pull-ups on she would go on the potty. It was a long process and a long day and I was so proud of her getting over her fear and being a big girl to go on the potty, we went up to Daddy's McDonald's and got some ice cream.......It was a great day to be a mom!!!!

Birthday Party

Grace got a her first birthday party invitation from a friend. The party was yesterday and she was sooooo excited all day long to go. The girls had a good time and got to play and eat cake. After a long day and a fun party we got home and into bed and Grace says to me "Mom, can we go to another party tomorrow?" Oh, she is a crazy one!!!

Blissfield Car Show

In case you didn't know one of my dream jobs is to be a photographer! Well my husband is super supportive of me and this dream and is pushing me to reach my full potential and is totally helping me achieve this dream. All though I have a long road to go to find my real inner self in this role, its fun learning what my style is and practicing taking all kinds of pictures. I love my journey so far and I am feeling great about my future :) ANYWAY....Ryan took me to the Blissfield classic car show last night just to practice taking pics and I fell in love with some of these cars. I have never been into cars in anyway, but when you look at them from a totally perspective something beautiful pops out at me.

Weekend O Fun

Well the weekend closed out to the Hellebuyck's visit to Adrian on Sunday. We had an absolute blast with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew! I miss them a lot, I wish we lived closer to each other because the kids LOOOOOOOOOOOVE to play together!!!!

Cousin's Weekend

This weekend my Brother, his beautiful wife and nephew all came down for a family weekend visit. I love these weekends because Grace and her cousin Cole get along sooooo well and they LOOOOOOOOVE to play together! We had a super quiet, relaxing weekend right here in my basement. We went out and let the kids swim and play in the pool, they had a BLAST....I cant wait to do it again! :)

What a difference a year makes

I have not posted in a few days, things have been a little crazy after I left last weekend. So in the last few days I had to sent up out tent in the backyard to clean and dry it out from my camping weekend. The girls woke up from a nap, saw the tent in the backyard and wanted to play in it, that was fun, and weird for me. The last time Jenn was in that tent was pretty much a year ago to date, she went camping with me when she was 2 months old!! Then I had a few of my softball friends over to have a small bonfire to celebrate another great softball season coming to a close. Yesterday, my mom and I took the girls to the county fair, Grace rode her first ride all alone and LOVED IT, then she rode on the merry-go-round four times, which wouldn't have been a big deal except that I had to go with her, that thing made me really dizzy!!!
